The client was looking to secure support from European funding for a waste-to-energy project combined with CCS, which is very costly and has ambiguous public support. It was looking to secure co-financing from the EU Innovation Fund.

We supported the client in approaching EU Institutions with the view of securing EU support and funding. With our support, the client’s representatives were able to come face to face with important decision makers, making the case for their project directly.

Our support resulted in political support among EU policymakers for the client’s CCS project and a co-financing commitment from the Norwegian government to the tune of €300m.

The client aimed to secure public funding to support decarbonization efforts in its plants in Eastern Europe. However, they lacked clarity on which funding programs to target or their eligibility for various funds.

After an exhaustive mapping of all suitable EU funding opportunities, we assisted the client in matching their projects with the most appropriate funds based on a feasibility assessment of their likelihood of success. Additionally, we supported the creation of a blending scheme to attract various funding sources for different expenditure items within the same project.

The client was able to build an effective funding strategy, prioritizing different sources of financing and call for tenders accordingly to their internal needs.

The client sought to enhance its engagement with European institutions to deploy funding resources under the current EU budget. They also aimed to actively contribute to shaping the Commission's next funding policy.

We assisted the client in their collaboration with the European Commission, acting as Implementing Partners for various programs, including InvestEU. We also supported their positioning regarding funding policies such as the Strategic Technologies for Europe Platform.

Our support enabled the client to run a highly effective campaign, positioning it as a prominent financier within the EU landscape and paving the way for its leadership at the EU level.
