Kaat Detré

Kaat specialises in food, drinks, retail, agriculture, commodity trade, and animal welfare, with a particular focus on how these sectors intersect with health.

As an Associate Director at Rud Pedersen Brussels, she has played a key role in expanding the firm’s Food & Agriculture team since joining in 2019. Her recent work includes developing a multi-market strategy and advocacy campaign for a client in the agriculture sector, leading several substance re-approval regulatory processes, and designing a campaign to raise awareness of a long-overlooked piece of legislation relevant to the retail industry. Kaat has also worked on the previous reform of the Common Agricultural Policy (CAP), with a particular focus on the meat and dairy denomination issues.

Before joining Rud Pedersen, Kaat gained experience as an EU Public Affairs Consultant intern at D&D Consulting Services, supporting clients in the healthcare sector. She later worked at Veepee, a leading European e-commerce company, as Project and Team Leader, where she developed a strong background in project management.
